Las Vegas TownhomesTownhomes offer features of both condos and detached single-family homes. In some areas of the country townhouses are referred to as row-houses, as they are usually attached to a row of similar homes. In townhome developments a resident owns the individual home as well as the land on which it sits. Sometimes this includes a patio (Patio home). The owner in a townhouse community also owns an undivided interest in the common elements such as the club house, pool and park areas. As in condominium developments, rules and regulations for the community are set by a Home Owners Association (HOA) which, in turn, hires a management company to attend to maintenance of the property and buildings. The HOA consists of residents elected by the owners, and regular monthly meetings are held. Owners contribute a monthly association fee to cover all costs involved in the running of the association. Monthly fees cover maintenance, insurance on the building (not the contents), and water. Townhome living in Las Vegas offers many advantages:
In Las Vegas most older townhomes are two-story structures attached to other townhomes on both sides. End units which are only attached on one side often carry a higher price.
